This series highlights women coexisting with undomesticated nature. In order to get a more handmade and organic feel, I used a variety of different mediums such as fabric, lino cutting, gouache and acrylic. Hand stamping the floral pattern in the back helped push the feeling of an artisanal handmade piece of art. Having that organic feeling to the piece was essential because this piece highlights a relationship with nature. This project sparked my interest in combining textiles, pattern design and painting.
